Middle School—Critical & Creative Writing
In this course, students learn how to craft compelling, well-structured arguments. They develop clear claims, acknowledge and address counterarguments, integrate and analyze evidence, and write effective conclusions using strong transitions throughout.
In the second half of the course, students move into creative writing, exploring character development, rich character portraits, narrative conflict, and point of view. These skills culminate in a final master project that showcases both their analytical and creative growth.
